Meet Schalan
From the moment Schalan was in first grade, she knew she was destined to be a hairstylist—and that passion has never wavered. Throughout high school, she envisioned owning her own salon, a dream she pursued with unwavering determination. After graduating from Paul Mitchell The School San Antonio in 2009, Schalan knew she wanted to become a Paul Mitchell National Educator and stay connected with the brand that inspired her from the start.

Schalan worked at a Paul Mitchell Focus Salon, honing her skills, until she was ready to take the leap and open her own salon in October 2014. Her mission is simple: to empower new hairstylists with education and opportunities to grow and shine, just as she did.

For over eight years, Schalan has proudly served as a Paul Mitchell National Color Educator, combining her love of teaching with her passion for hair. For her, hair is more than just a career—it’s a lifestyle. Her daughter, Kaydin, even thinks mannequins are just another normal household item! Whether behind the chair or on stage sharing the latest trends and products from John Paul Mitchell Systems, Schalan thrives in every facet of the industry.

Her secret to success? Setting goals and holding herself accountable. She lives by the quote: “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” Having navigated the challenges of owning a business through a pandemic, Schalan knows the importance of pivoting and adapting in the face of adversity.

Beyond her salon, Schalan is deeply committed to giving back to her community. As a proud firefighter’s wife, she started First Responder Friday, offering a 15% discount on all regular-priced services to first responders and their spouses.

A passionate animal lover, Schalan is also a devoted "Dog Mom" to three rescue pups—Spruce, Julie, and Dolly—who were all “rescued” by her husband during his shifts. Their story of her husband finding them, is one of the many reasons she believes in second chances and giving back.

KAYLEE HOWARD, MANAGER

Meet Kaylee

Kaylee is a shining star stylist and the dedicated Manager at Personal Touch Salon. With a passion for beauty that spans skin care, makeup, and hair, she’s always been driven by the desire to help people look and feel their best. Kaylee graduated from the Paul Mitchell Esthetician Program in April 2021 and the Cosmetology Program in May 2022, setting the stage for her flourishing career in the beauty industry.

Kaylee began her journey at Personal Touch as an assistant, where she quickly demonstrated her talent and dedication. Over the past three years, she’s worked her way up to become our Manager, and she’s been an essential part of our team ever since. Specializing in lived-in colors, blonding, and Bellami extensions, Kaylee loves creating looks that are both effortlessly beautiful and low-maintenance. She’s also a key player in managing our social media, from crafting engaging Instagram posts to planning creative TikToks that keep our clients connected and inspired.

When she’s not in the salon, Kaylee enjoys spending time with friends and taking moments to relax and recharge.

EMYLEE TRUEBA

Meet Emylee

Emylee is a rising star stylist at Personal Touch Salon, with a true passion for helping people feel like the best version of themselves. She began her journey with us as an assistant in May 2024, gaining invaluable hands-on experience while attending Paul Mitchell The School, San Antonio. Emylee graduated in January 2025, and her time assisting at the salon allowed her to refine her skills and absorb a wealth of knowledge from seasoned professionals, all while continuing her education.

For Emylee, great hair isn’t just about the cut or color—it’s about how it makes you feel. Whether you’re looking for a bold transformation or a subtle refresh, she’s dedicated to ensuring you leave her chair with a look that boosts your confidence and enhances your natural beauty.

As a newer stylist, Emylee focuses on building meaningful connections with her clients, taking the time to listen and truly understand their hair goals. She specializes in creating personalized experiences that are tailored to meet each client’s unique needs and leave them feeling radiant.

Emylee has had the privilege of training under some incredible mentors and has absorbed the latest techniques, all while staying true to her passion for making her clients feel amazing. She believes your hair is a reflection of your personal style, and she’s excited to be a part of bringing that vision to life.

HAILEY SMITH, RISING STAR STYLIST

Meet Hailey, a Rising Star Stylist at Personal Touch Salon. She is a recent graduate of Paul Mitchell The School San Antonio (June 2025). Hailey first connected with our salon after attending a class led by Schalan and Kaylee. She also had the opportunity to volunteer at our Breathe Cut-A-Thon. Drawn to our personal touch, uplifting vibe, and supportive culture, she knew this was the perfect place to grow into the stylist she dreams of becoming.

Hailey believes hair isn’t just a biological structure, but an accessory. To her, the art of hair is about helping guests feel like the most confident, authentic version of themselves. Known for her naturally positive attitude, sharp eye for detail, and genuine passion for the beauty industry, Hailey is eager to build her skills and confidence while creating beautiful transformations. Her favorite style to create is bouncy curls, and she especially enjoys highlighting services, helping clients feel as radiant on the inside as they look on the outside.

Outside the salon, Hailey loves to unwind by hanging out with her friends and family, cooking up new recipes, and trying out fun beauty hacks. When she’s not behind the chair, you’ll find her experimenting with different hairstyles on herself or dreaming up her next creative look for her clients. She’s all about spreading good vibes and making sure everyone leaves her chair feeling like a million bucks. Hailey is excited to create meaningful connections with her guests, share a few laughs, and grow alongside the talented team at Personal Touch Salon.

TAYLOR MORTON, RISING STAR STYLIST

Meet Taylor,
Taylor Morton is thrilled to be back behind the chair, bringing her passion for beauty and artistry to every guest she serves. A proud graduate of Paul Mitchell The School San Antonio (Class of 2009). Taylor spent several years perfecting her craft and building lasting relationships with her clients before stepping away to focus on her greatest creations, her children.

Now that her little ones are growing, Taylor is excited to return to the salon world she loves. She specializes in color, with a talent for everything from soft, dimensional blondes to bold, head-turning transformations. Taylor believes hair isn’t just about style, it’s about confidence, self-care, and feeling your very best.

EMily Daubar, assistant

Meet Emily

Emily has dreamed of being in the beauty industry since she was a little girl, and her passion for the craft has only grown stronger over the years. She’s been with Personal Touch Salon for nearly a year, and during that time, she’s quickly proven herself as an invaluable part of our team. Emily’s journey in beauty is a testament to her determination and drive—she hustled to graduate high school a year early, so she could fast-track her career in the industry.

In addition to assisting behind the scenes at Personal Touch, Emily has been a key player in our Breathe Cut-a-thon, volunteering her time and energy for three consecutive years to support this incredible cause. She’s currently attending Paul Mitchell The School, San Antonio, with an expected graduation date of December 2025, and we are beyond excited to see her begin to build her own clientele once she completes her training.

Emily has been an absolute joy to watch blossom as she assists, and it’s clear she’s a natural. With her incredible work ethic, eagerness to learn, and natural talent, we know Emily is destined for great things in her career. She also helps us manage our Trucker Hat Bar at the salon, adding her personal touch to that special service we offer.

Outside of the salon and school, Emily is passionate about giving back to her community. She volunteers at her church, Live the Life, where she plays keyboard and helps run the sound booth most Sundays. Her commitment to both her personal and professional growth is truly inspiring, and we can’t wait to see where her journey takes her.
